Pat Keogh Is The Sound Man

pat-keoughPat Keogh has been making music for as long as he can remember. A graduate of the University of Connecticut and the Berklee School of Music he is a former member of “Kool and The Gang.” He was on tour doing his guitar thing all over the world.
Pat is still making music, but now he’s the wizard behind a digital sound-making board.  He does television, music videos, motion pictures (yes of the Hollywood type) , radio, sound design, production, he also writes music.  Advertisements by the ton. Room design. Post production, SFX, and Audio everything. You can even buy fabulous speakers from him, actually the word’s best.
He’s recorded local artist’s CD’s, he says there are too many to count. You’re going to need a minute or two to take a look at all the stars he’s recorded over the years…grab a cup of coffee.
Here goes~ The Coasters, The Drifters, The Platters, Ronnie Spector, Phil Spector, Danny and the Juniors. The Ronnettes, The Ramones, Donovan, Fleetwood Mac, Mick Fleetwood and The Zoo Roackapella. Take 6, LL Cool Jay., Grucci bros. ( Pyrotechnics for the 4th of July over the new Statue of Liberty), Alicia Keys, Trick Pony, Rush Limbaugh, Richard Beltzer, Joy Behar, Angie Jagger, Lilly Tomlin, Second City Television. The list goes on and on.
When you’re in the studio with Pat, as I have been over the years, you get to know his no nonsense style and his keen ear. He knows sound, when you tell him you think you know it, don’t go there, let his expertise guide you. He gets it. He has a hat he likes to wear a lot, it’s kind of his signature, gives him style.
Pat makes his magic in a studio in his home in Wallingford, Connecticut. His vibe is laid back and then some, just don’t put your ice tea on one of his multiple thousand dollar speakers, yes, I made that mistake.
Let’s put it this way, if it makes sound Pat can play it. There is an array of musical instruments all over his studio, and he can play them. I know this because Pat has played an electric guitar at my house and it was amazing. He’s still got a lot of “Kool and The Gang” in him.
I watched Pat record a sensational new duo out of Connecticut called “Addison Station” and you get the gist of how he works, he’s great fun.
How do you get a hold of Pat to help you make a hit? Right here:

What a down to earth guy for being so far in the industry. I got to know Pat as a customer and has quickley become a friend, a good one. Check out his audio line he offers as well, he has turned me on to a set of atc’s that i power with an ancient Kenwood. Wow what a combo. A great guy and a great product!
