If It’s From Yesterday, They’ll Have It

224938_490186174337693_1543409758_nRemember When is a shop that might remind you of going into your Grandmother’s attic there are all sorts of treasures here to go thru.

On Main in Torrington, Connecticut the place is chocked full of everything, just name it.

There is vintage lighting, furnishings, jewelry and accessories.

There are dishes and men’s hats and gowns, some perfect for a wedding.

There are clocks and radios and mirrors and dolls and toys, magazines, and linens and chandeliers galore. I could go on, but just pop in for yourself and take a look around. You’ll love the vintage music they play too.

Owners Rit and Karen O’Donnell own the place and love their surroundings so much they live on the second floor.

The jewelry in the store is all arranged by color and there is a dressing area where ladies can try on dresses and match the accessories with it.

Many of the items in the shop are consigned so if you have something to sell this could be the place.

You could spend hours in the place walking down memory lane.

The O’Donnell’s can do repairs too whether it’s jewelry or lighting. They’ve been in business since 1989. Karen especially loves it when she helps out brides who are planning a vintage wedding.

I just scratched the surface, you can dig a little deeper when you’re there, plan to have lunch in town, there awhile.

FYI… Torrington has the largest collection of art deco buildings in the state, so if you want to step into vintage 1930s, Torrington’s Main Street is the place to be. Very cool!

Steve, thank you for pointing this out, because I think few know that. I think you all should shout that from the roof tops!
