See Click Fix

Ben Berkowitz is a young man in his 30’s from New Haven who is an innovator and has gotten the attention of the Obama White House on several occasions because this entrepreneur is helping the world one city at a time.

What’s his deal? He, along with colleagues, invented SeeClickFix.com after being turned off by some ugly graffiti that he wanted the city to take care of in his neighborhood. When that didn’t happen for several years, he took matters into his own hands and created the website, which is now in cities all over the world.

Citizens are telling city government where the infrastructure problems are and they are talking to each other on the site about how to make their communities better.

Berkowitz has made fixing things like storm drains sexy. There is a lot more to come for the web site, but in the meantime if you have something you like to tell your city hall about where you live get on the site and tell them.
