Trolley Museums in Connecticut

trolley museumHave you gone to a trolley museum in Connecticut? Oh, you really should and you have TWO trolley museums from which to choose, first there is The Connecticut Trolley Museum to the north and it’s in East Windsor.  During the summer it’s open 6 days a week (closed Tuesdays). Once you get the ticket to the museum you and your family can enjoy a trolley ride!

The trolley museum to the south is in East Haven. The Shoreline Trolley Museum  is open 7 days a week until September 2nd 2013.The trolley ride there travels along the shore. Both museums have holiday events, free parking and have programs where you can operate trolleys on special days. (*contact each trolley museum directly for further details on their programs)

We find inspiration in this wonderful classic mode of transportation. We know you enjoy trolleys too because you’re reading NUTMEG JUNCTION. All aboard!

On facebook I shared the original photo I took of the museum trolley! Have you gone to the trolley museum? Which one and what did you think?

Can you believe the East Haven trolley is 7 minutes from my house and I haven’t been there in 20 years! Shame on me. Tony would dis-own me!

Hope you make it out to EH – your family will love it…and we can meet up!
