Come On Down To The Jillson House

The Jillson House is a wonderful historical landmark and museum in Willimantic, Connecticut. During weekends, visitors have the chance to explore the house and learn about Willimantic’s history and the Jillson family.

The Jillson family played an important role in the industrial development that led to the formation of the borough of Willimantic (1833) in the ancient colonial Connecticut town of Windham.

Some historical museums and historical houses change their hours or even close during winter operations because of heating issues and preservation issues. Your own historical house or museum may have that sort of “off season” time frame. So be sure to check out your local historical museum or historical house when you can! You’ll be glad you did and you’ll learn something new!
