National Library Week in Connecticut

LIBRARY 4National Library Week is 4/13-4/19 and Network Connecticut and Nutmeg Junction hold libraries in a special place in our hearts. Libraries provide essential resources to the communities they serve.

Whether you want to read a book, watch a movie, listen to music, find a meeting room for a non-profit, go online, do research, the library is that one location you can visit and do all of these things, and for free!

There are some libraries that go above and beyond and provide museum passes, hold historical themed lectures, have movie nights, and educational opportunities for the young and the young at heart alike.

Libraries are staffed with hard working people who serve their communities.

So this week, (Mon-Sat) we are honoring 6 exceptional libraries as nominated by their communities.

To all Connecticut libraries and the teams that work within them, thank you for all that you do! ”

And if you haven’t been to your local library in a while, go there this week and see all that is going on, these institutions need your support to change and stay vibrant.
