Guilford’s newest eatery, South Lane Bistro, will donate 10% of profits from Tuesday, June 10th, to the Guilford Preservation Alliance. South Lane Bistro’s co-owner Ariel Miller says  “We’re located in the historic district of Guilford on Whitfield Street, which was originally called South Lane. It seems only fitting to honor one of the organizations that has done so much to help Guilford retain its character and charm.”

Dennis Culliton, a board member of the Guilford Preservation Alliance is delighted saying “Our mission is to preserve and protect the built and natural heritage of the town of Guilford. We’re very fortunate to have local businesses that support our work, and members of the community who want to help us fulfill our mission.”

For more than thirty years, the Guilford Preservation Alliance has been active in promoting the preservation of the diverse buildings, landscapes, and streetscapes that contribute to the quality of the town of Guilford. South Lane Bistro recently opened at 63 Whitfield Street, behind the Purple Bear Toy Shop.

The bistro is open for dinner during the week, for lunch and dinner on the weekends and has a special Sunday brunch menu. On Tuesday, June 10th, South Lane Bistro will be open from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. Reservations are suggested for parties of 6 or more; call 203-533-5845.
