The American Mural Project In Connecticut

1381707_10151900675009770_485768472_nImagine a mural 5 stories tall…120-feet long and 8 feet wide in Connecticut. It is called The American Mural Project and the chief artist engineer behind this is Ellen Griesedieck of Sharon, Connecticut. This will be going inside an old mill in the town of Winsted. The hope is that this will be installed in 2016 and will be the largest indoor collaborative artwork in the world. Already there are ten-thousand children involved in the project across the U.S. It will celebrate America in all its splendor. To date children from 22 states have created artwork for this amazing mural. What’s needed now are more sponsors and backers to complete the task of putting Connecticut on the forefront of making something that takes thousands to complete. The late actor Paul Newman was instrumental in getting this dream to become reality along side Ellen who is so passionate about this project that she has spent fifteen years of her life to make sure that it gets created. Hop on board this wagon, because when it’s unveiled, you’ll be proud that you are a part of it.

Still wish that the contributions of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of CT had been mentioned.
