A New Ronald McDonald House Is Coming To New Haven, CT
For 30-years the Ronald McDonald House in New Haven has served families who have sick children. The mission is to keep those families together while a child is being treated in the hospital, in many of these cases these are life and death situations. Families stay for free, for some up to one year.
The Executive Director, Stocky Clark says it is time for “the house” to grow along with the size of Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. The new facility will be built right across the street from the hospital to make it even easier for families and it will go from 12 rooms to 42. When it is finished it will be some 43-thousand square feet. Currently more than 15-thousand families use the house every year. It is their “home away from home.” There are many ways you can get involved…listen to the interview.
