7th Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit
Special Needs Children and Families Experiencing Hardship
Once again, St. Vincent’s Special Needs will partner with the Appelberg family to hold its 7th annual golf tournament in memory of Kristin Nicole Appelberg. In keeping with Kristin’s dream of improving the quality of life for children and adults in our community, this year’s proceeds will be shared with the Appelberg’s Love Life Foundation to support families experiencing financial difficulties and St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services for adaptive furniture and equipment to support the special education school program.
The tournament will be held on Monday, June 20th, at Tashua Knolls Golf Course in Trumbull. Players can register for either an 8 am or 1pm tee time with breakfast, lunch and dinner being served. Also included in the day’s activities are a beat the pro contest, raffle and live and silent auction prizes including an Aruba vacation and a week in Pinehurst, North Carolina, a golfer’s paradise.
“This is such a wonderful event supported by many local businesses and community organizations,” said Raymond Baldwin, President/CEO. “This year, Hawley Lane Shoes along with New Balance and Vionic will sponsor the player gifts. In addition, we have several major sponsors including R.D. Scinto, Inc., Elizabeth Pfriem, and The Ernest & Joan Trefz Foundation.” stated Baldwin.
SVSNS is a human services organization located in Trumbull, CT with a mission “to foster the physical, educational, spiritual, emotional and social development of persons with disabilities so they may play, learn, work and live in the community”. Love Life has a mission to share Kristin’s love of life and impact the lives of children and adults in the community by supporting a variety of local charitable organizations.
