From Broadway With Love To Orlando


Van Dean is a Broadway producer and founder of Broadway Records who grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut.
Dean’s life as a producer changed after the tragedy at Sandy Hook. He saw so many hurting that he knew he had to do something. He started producing summer productions where he brings actors from Broadway who get involved with the children from Newtown, it’s now in its third year. When the massacre in Orlando happened on June 12th at the Pulse nightclub, he jumped in again. He helped to gather luminaries from Broadway to record a song to raise money for the GBLT Community Center in Florida. He’s a man with a big heart in the Big Apple. The recording has already raised 100-thousand dollars.
