“Little BIG Sister” Growing Up With An Autistic Brother

A former elementary school teacher and mother of two is making a difference in the lives of siblings, who are living with a brother or sister who has autism. Amy McCoy has just written her first book called “Little BIG Sister,” it’s about her own children and is written about the thoughts of her daughter whose older brother has autism. The stories express how a sibling deals with autism in the family and the questions that are asked about all the differences. McCoy says it has helped her daughter explain her story to other kids her age about why her brother is different. McCoy is already gathering stories for her second book, again, written through the thoughts of her daughter. McCoy’s blog which pairs with her book is called “Dancing In The Rain” Feel free to reach out to her there.
