The Sister’s Project, Providing Financial Support For Those Affected By Cancer
The Sisters’ Project is an organization of 11 people who have been touched by cancer in one way or another, and they are going out of their way to makes things a little brighter for individuals and families who are affected by the dreaded disease. At this writing, the non-profit based in Wallingford, Connecticut, has raised a half a million dollars since its inception in 2010, and have given it away to those who need a boost. Cancer attacks and then there is financial fallout and that’s where the Sisters come in. Their desire is to set this up all over the country to just help. Mary Gilson, whose sister, Rita, died from cancer and Denise Baker, Vice President of the organization, who has had dear friends touched by cancer talked about their plans for the group. They are providing compassion where it’s needed.
