Gianni Leito Is Headed For The Berklee College Of Music

The state of Connecticut is full of talented musicians. Nineteen-year old Gianni Leito of Bridgeport was rejected from every music school he applied to one year ago, but now he’s headed to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. The 19-year old Fairfield Prep graduate learned a lesson from the rejection and persevered. He enrolled at Housatonic Community College and practiced and practiced and practiced. He reapplied this year and this time got into all the prestigious music schools he applied to around the country. Singer, songwriter, guitarist, John Mayer, also from Bridgeport, is a big influence on Leito. Mayer also went to the Berklee College of Music. and the two of them had the same music teacher along the way. Leito is hoping to be one of Berklee’s stars of tomorrow.
