Art Deco Tiny House in New Haven, Connecticut

Colin M. Caplan just built a tiny house in New Haven, Connecticut for his husband and wife clients, Richard Norman and Nini Lentini. It’s called the “Bijou.”  At just under 700 square feet, this urban dwelling has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom & 15 foot ceilings. The exterior design was inspired by some of the old relic Art Deco style facades of yesteryear in New Haven, they include…

the legendary Anchor Bar in New Haven,

the now razed Dixwell Playhouse,

and the former SNET building now all apartments called The Eli.
