Executive Chef Francois Kwaku-Dongo

From West Africa’s Ivory Coast to Hollywood. Executive chef, Francois Kwaku-Dongo’s story is one of hard work and perseverance and help along the way from one of the most famous chefs in the world, Wolfgang Puck. He did not know English when he came to this country and now speaks many languages. He worked with Puck at the famous Spago restaurant on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles where he cooked for the rich and famous. Two of his favorites, Gene Kelly and jazz great Miles Davis. Chef Francois says the best dishes have just three ingredients, pure and simple. Chef Francois did 17 Academy Award dinners with Wolfgang Puck, oh the stories he has about that event. He’s currently the executive chef at The Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan, Connecticut. He has also developed his own line of chocolate called Omanhene.
