Opportunity Works Connecticut Enhances Lives Of Adults With Disabilities

Opportunity Works Connecticut has been in existence since 2009, it enhances the lives of adults living with disabilities by teaching them skills so that they can be gainfully employed. Currently they are serving 112 adults. They’re learning to make all kinds of items that can be sold, birdhouses, trays, coasters, jewelry, the list goes on.

One of its two founders, Rene Lambert, says the program is growing so rapidly, and so sought after, that they’re having to turn people away. The best way to help is to volunteer, employing their people and also donations.
