Puppets Can Be Serious Too

Two premiere Connecticut puppeteers who got their degrees in Puppet Arts from the University of Connecticut , came to call on NYBERG to talk about an educational proponent of their work. Pam Arciero has worked on Sesame Street for the last 35 years and who has the role of Grundgetta, Oscar the Grouch’s girlfriend. Heather Asch has multiple Emmys for her work in the field and is the powerhouse behind “No Strings Productions” producing videos with puppets for international communities dealing with life threatening situations. Most of the puppets are made in Connecticut…and the first No Strings Productions film was shot at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, the home of the National Puppetry Conference. To find out more about the puppet outreach program go to no strings productions-dot-org
