Connecticut’s Farm To Chef Program

Connecticut has about 55-hundred farms in the state, all producing food and milk. And there are a ton of wineries and breweries in the state now too. How do you showcase all of this so that you know where to find all this good stuff? Enter “Farm to Chef Week” which began in 2016. At least 60 restaurants, campus dining halls, schools, corporate cafeterias and health care facilities connect with farms in the state and showcase meals around what is made and grown here. Farm to Chef Week is September 15th through the 21st. The Agriculture department would love to have more farms and restaurants sign up to take part in this. To get all the information to do that and to find out who is taking part so you can dine on homegrown foods go to CT Farm To Chef.
