« Connecticut Magazine names Gilson Cafe & Cinema 2010 Best Dinner and a Movie in Connecticut Winsted, Conn. – September 14, 2010 – The editors of Connecticut Magazine® have named the Gilson Cafe & Cinema of Winsted, Conn. as “The Best Dinner and a Movie” in its Best of Connecticut® 2010 awards. Editors praised the Gilson’s Art Deco marquee and called the theater a “classic cinema twin” at which patrons can also “enjoy a selection of bar food ranging from a cheese-and-cracker plate to hot sandwiches and simple pasta dishes to great, gooey desserts.”
