Many people across Connecticut, the country and the world are asking themselves what they can do, big or small, to help out the families of the 27 victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. One person in Clinton, Ashley Millett, is organizing a bake sale. She contacted the Clinton Patch asking that we help spread the word. \”I am trying to arrange a bake sale for next weekend in Clinton to benefit the families of Sandy Hook – both those who lost family members and the children who had to witness such a horrific act,\” said Millett. They will be selling baked goods on Saturday, Dec. 22, from 10am to 2pm at the Henry Carter Hull Library. Sunday\’s location is \”to be announced.\” \”I love to bake and got positive responses from my friends to this idea,\” she said. \”I want to help – any little bit I can do.\” What\’s she\’s asking for right now is volunteers to help work the table, as well as bakers to donate baked goods. \”Absolutely ALL proceeds would be donated to the Sandy Hook individuals,\” said Millett. Anyone interested can contact her at amillett2988@gmail.com or 860-331-9983 via phone or text.
