« My name is Kris Schwartz and my wife and I live with our 2-year-old daughter in Sandy Hook. We were trying to think of a way to help out, so we designed and ordered bracelets to assist in the fundraising for the Sandy Hook School Support Fund that’s associated with the Newtown Savings Bank and United Way. Inscribed on the green and white wristband reads “Angels of Sandy Hook” and “Faith Hope Love” with hearts and angel wings sketched around them. We donated them to the Newtown Police Department, the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire Department, and students and faculty at Newtown High School (you’ll get them Wednesday in home room so be on time). I’m ordering more for Wednesday delivery that will be available in Newtown inside the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire Department and The Newtown Bee, and in Monroe at the Lake Zoar Drive-In on Route 34. We’re listing a $5 suggested donation for each bracelet, but feel free to leave more as you know it’s going right back into our community with that particular fund. Personally, to those who have lost loves ones and all those impacted by what occurred, my heart aches for you. While I may not know you and you don’t know me, it’s with the upmost sincerity that I want to do whatever I can for you. This is just a way of thanking you for putting so many special angels in this world that have brought countless smiles to so many. If anyone has any other suggestions of what to possibly do with these bracelets, I’d greatly appreciate any thoughts. As I now walk the streets of Sandy Hook, I want to thank you all so much for your love and compassion.
