The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook, Connecticut is a little gem of a place with a movie star name. As a founding board member I am so proud of our 250 seat jewel box. We will be six years old this fall and we have hit another mile stone and that is recording live concerts for television. Our first was Monday night, February 23rd, 2015. Mark the date down, it’s only the beginning. The crew at Connecticut Public Television transformed “The Kate” into a lavish production studio for the 1st in a series of taped “Live at the Kate” concerts. The series kicked off in style with Jarrod Spector‘s “A Little Help From My Friends” show which will be televised later this year on CPTV. Future shows will be announced soon. If you haven’t been to our historic theater, you have an open invitation, all you have to do is go to our web site and see the tons of events we have lined up for you and your family. Visit www.thekate.org for more info.
