Int’l Fly Fishing Film Festival At Yale Benefits Connecticut’s Vets

IMG_4015

Fly fishing in the great outdoors, something so many love including Connecticut’s Sean Callinan who is the fly fishing instructor at Yale University. Yes, Yale has had such a club since 1954. Callinan knows how serene this sport can be and has brought in the International Fly Fishing Film Festival to Yale and part of the proceeds will go to groups who take vets out fishing to help clear their minds from what they may have seen on the battlefield as they fought for the country. It has shown to be therapeutic for those being treated with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Rivers of Recovery and Take A Vet Fishing of Branford will benefit from the festival.

The even takes place on Friday night, May 20th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Whitney Humanities Center at Yale. Cost is $18.00, price at the doors is $20.00. Callinan is hoping to grow this event and make it even bigger as the years go on, support this great event.
